Online Sextortion: How to Recognize and Address the Needs of Youth Survivors

Learn how to identify the warning signs of online sextortion and respond with trauma-informed care. This session will offer insight into how providers and communities can support young survivors and create safer digital spaces.

Jaime's Bio: Jaime Cypher (we/she) has served as the Children’s Advocacy Coordinator at PCAR since 2021, providing training and resources to sexual assault service center staff across Pennsylvania and collaborating with systems to improve support for youth victims. With prior experience as a children’s trauma counselor, Certified Trauma Professional, trainer, and housing advocate, Jaime focuses on areas including online safety, trauma and grief, LGBTQ survivor support, youth with problematic sexual behaviors, and advocate care. She earned her BS in Psychology from Slippery Rock University and lives in Butler, PA, where she enjoys live music, hiking with her Border Collie, and tending to her plants.
