I've been lucky to be part of Voce for the past few years—a journey that started when The GIANT Company, where I worked, committed to giving back to the community. Our goal has always been to “Connect Families for a Better Future,” and joining the Voce board of directors felt like a natural fit. After meeting with Rick Azzaro (Chief Executive Officer) and learning more about the organization, I knew I wanted to get involved.
Since then, my connection to Voce has only deepened. Several of my friends and colleagues have gone through adoption, and while that hasn’t been our path, I’ve seen how life-changing the process can be for families and kids. I wanted to support more of those stories. Being on the board has not only been rewarding professionally but has also helped me grow as a mom. I have two daughters, 10 and 5, and through my work with Voce, I’ve been able to show them the importance of compassion and understanding for families of all kinds.
Even as my role at The GIANT Company evolved and I recently moved into a new position at ADUSA, another Ahold Delhaize brand, I’ve continued to bring my corporate skills to Voce—whether it’s helping with events, strategy, or planning. What’s most meaningful, though, is seeing how our work directly impacts people’s lives. Plus, I’ve met some truly amazing folks along the way.
Fueling the future—both in my career and in the community—has always been important to me. Voce continues to grow, and I’m excited to grow with it and help lead the way forward.
