Standing Strong Through Uncertainty

Pennsylvania once again faces a state budget impasse, while federal shutdown threats ripple through communities. For many, these may seem like distant political battles—but for those serving children and families, the effects are immediate and profound.

When government stalls, resources stall. Schools, nonprofits, and child-serving agencies must stretch limited budgets just when families most need stability. Yet amid uncertainty, we see something remarkable: the resilience, creativity, and determination of professionals who refuse to let children fall through the cracks.

Across classrooms, counseling rooms, and community programs, people persevere. They adapt, collaborate, and keep showing up. This commitment proves that when systems stall, people step up—and it’s this spirit that sustains hope and impact.

At Voce, we believe no one can do this work alone. Collaboration is more than a principle—it’s a lifeline. When schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and healthcare providers share resources and strengths, children and families receive the consistent care they deserve. In times of financial strain, collaboration matters more than ever.

That’s why Voce continues to convene multidisciplinary professionals—educators, social workers, healthcare providers, legal advocates, and community leaders—to take a holistic approach to supporting families. Working together doesn’t just keep services moving; it amplifies their reach and impact.

One powerful example is the Forum on Pennsylvania’s Children (FPaC). Each year, FPaC brings professionals together to learn, connect, and innovate for the well-being of children and families.

This year, we made the strategic decision to reschedule FPaC to May 28, 2026, in recognition of the financial strains many agencies face. This shift isn’t just a postponement—it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to accessibility and impact. By gathering in May, we’ll ensure that professionals across Pennsylvania can participate fully, ready to share ideas and strengthen networks.

We’re continually inspired by the dedication of those serving children and families across the Commonwealth. They—and the communities they support—deserve the opportunity to thrive. Budget challenges remind us of the importance of strong networks, creative problem-solving, and resilience.

Plan now to join us at FPaC on May 28, 2026, where strong networks, creative problem-solving, and resilience come to life.
